Welcome to St. Martin of Tours Church

A loving family in Christ Jesus!

Who are we?

Mission Statement

We are a loving family where people come to be changed and effect change, connect with one another and create intimacy with God. Though we all enter broken, we may leave whole. We are all different, we are all equal in Christ.

About

We are an inclusive and multi-lingual Anglo-Catholic parish involved in social work and community organising to promote change.

We are part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Chelmsford.

Based in Plaistow, East London (off Barking Road) we are a 10-minute walk from Upton Park tube station.

Safeguarding

The parish of Plaistow, St Martin is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops' guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Chelmsford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
